Grade 2 - English
In the 2nd grade English class, students will gain more skills in reading, writing, speaking, and comprehending. They will continue to enhance their understanding of the relation between sounds, letters, and words. At this stage, students should be able to express their thoughts and ideas in grammatically correct sentences.
Some of the skills second-grade students will have are:
Understand stories that are read to them
Read simple stories, fables, and poetries independently
Learning to read new words
Comprehension

Familiarity with simple topics in grammar
Identifying and correctly using parts of speech including nouns and verbs
