Grade 2 - Science

Grade 2 science curriculum brings in more elaborate terms and concepts which require more comprehension ability to fathom topics like magnets and matter.

Some of the specific goals for second-grade science include:

  • Applying scientific concepts, skills, and processes to everyday experiences.

  • Life science will include plants and animals and their habits and life cycles.

  • Earth/Space science includes properties of suns, moons, planets, and stars.

  • Physical science including states of matter and magnetism.
